TRADE 03 / MIG TIG STICKMobile Welding, Wherever It Broke
You cannot haul a fence to a shop and a cracked loader bucket does not fit in a trunk. I bring the welder to the break, in town or at the end of a gravel road.
Welding is where mobile service earns its keep. The things that break are usually the things that cannot move, gates, railings, dock frames, implements mid season. My truck carries MIG, stick and TIG capability for steel, stainless and aluminum, plus the grinders, clamps and cutoff tools to prep and finish properly.
MIG welding handles most steel repairs, TIG welding covers aluminum welding and thin wall work, and stick welding earns its keep on weathered steel outdoors. Farm calls, acreage calls and lake property calls are all normal for me. Statewide coverage means the distance from a metro shop stops being your problem.
Handled on the welding call
- Trailer repair, frames, ramps and hitches
- Gate, fence and railing repair
- Loader buckets, blades and wear edges
- Farm implement and equipment repair
- Dock and boat lift frame welds
What This Covers
- Trailer repair, frames, ramps and hitches
- Gate, fence and railing repair
- Loader buckets, blades and wear edges
- Farm implement and equipment repair
- Dock and boat lift frame welds
- Handrail and stair stringer repair
- Bracket and mount repairs on machinery
- Cast iron and dissimilar metal repairs where practical
- On site cutting and gouging
- Rust section patch ins on non structural steel
What I will not weld
- Engineered structural steel requiring certified welds and inspection
- Pressure vessels and boiler code work
- Anything a stamped drawing or code inspector must sign off on
Good welders know their lane. Certified structural and code work belongs with certified shops, and I will say so on the spot rather than burn your time.
While the truck is there
Popular add ons that cost little when the tools are already out:
- Grind and repaint the repair
- Check and torque hitch hardware
- Straighten a bent gate before welding
- Fab a gusset while the welder is hot

Welding Questions
Can you weld aluminum on site?
Yes. I run spool capable equipment for aluminum and TIG for cleaner work. Aluminum needs good prep, so I bring the tools to get the joint clean before an arc ever strikes.
Do you do farm and ranch calls?
Constantly. Implements, gates, feeders, loader buckets and trailer decks are bread and butter. During planting and harvest I prioritize equipment down calls because I know what a stopped machine costs.
How do you price mobile welding?
A clear trip charge based on distance plus the work itself, quoted before I strike an arc. No surprise line items.
Aluminum or steel, how do you decide how to repair it?
The parent metal decides. I match the process to what is already there, and aluminum welding gets TIG. If a part keeps failing in the same spot, I will say so and suggest rebuilding it stronger rather than welding the same crack a third time.
How much rust is too much to weld?
If there is sound metal to weld to, it can be repaired. Once the steel has gone thin and papery across the area, a weld just moves the failure a few inches. I will tell you which one you have before charging for a repair that will not hold.
Does cold weather stop mobile welding?
No, but it changes the plan. Cold steel wants preheat and a slower pace, so a winter repair can take longer than the same job in July. Sheltered access helps. Equipment down calls still come first.

I Bring The Truck.
Every household has the list. The drip, the dead outlet, the cracked hitch, the car that hesitates. One visit, five trades, and the list gets shorter fast.
