TRADE 02 / HANDYMAN SCOPE

Minor Electrical Work, Done Right

Ceiling fans that wobble, outlets that quit, the light fixture that has been sitting in its box since spring. I take care of the small electrical jobs safely and neatly.

Insured Price before work MN, ND, WI and MO statewide

Electrical work rewards patience and punishes shortcuts. I work clean, verify with a meter, and never guess. Every connection gets checked, every cover plate goes back on straight, and you get a plain explanation of what I found.

Minor electrical repair is handyman scope by design, and I keep it there. If a job is bigger than it looked, panel work, new circuits, anything requiring permits, I stop and tell you before touching it. You get honesty first, then work.

States draw the line differently on electrical work. I keep my own scope inside what handymen are allowed to do where you live, and when a job needs a licensed electrician, a licensed electrician does it. You still make one call.

Electrical Questions

Can you figure out why an outlet is dead?

Usually, yes. Most dead outlets trace back to a tripped GFCI, a loose backstab connection or a worn device. I diagnose with a meter, fix what is in scope and tell you honestly if it points to a bigger circuit issue.

Do you install customer supplied fixtures?

Happily. Buy the fan or fixture you love and I will install it, balance it and haul off the packaging.

Is your electrical work insured?

Yes, the business carries liability insurance, and I only take on work that falls inside legal handyman scope for your state.

How accurate is a quote from a texted photo?

Close, for anything visible. A photo of the fixture, the box or the panel label usually gets you a ballpark within the hour during work hours. The firm price comes once I see it in person, and you approve that before any work starts.

Do you work with property managers on rental turnovers?

Yes. Turnovers suit a five trade truck, because the dead outlet, the loose railing and the running toilet all get handled in one visit instead of three vendors. Recurring route visits can be scheduled.

What should be ready before an electrical visit?

Know which breaker feeds the problem if you can, and clear the space in front of the panel or fixture. If you already bought the light or the fan, have it out with its instructions. That is enough to get started.
