The person behind the truck

Ask For Jamie.
You Will Get Jamie.

No dispatchers, no rotating crew, no mystery subcontractor. The person who answers the phone, quotes the job and turns the wrenches is the same person, every time.

Pilantz Mobile Services is a mobile trade shop owned and operated by Jamie Pilantz. Five trades travel on one truck: minor plumbing, minor electrical, welding, fabrication and auto repair. Coverage is statewide across Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Missouri, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call or text (507) 838-0401. Every job gets a firm price approved before any work starts.

Jamie Pilantz has spent his working life around the trades that keep things running: plumbing and electrical basics learned house by house, welding and fabrication earned in the shop and the field, and automotive work built from years of keeping his own equipment on the road.

Pilantz Mobile Services exists because of a pattern he kept seeing. Homeowners with a list of small problems nobody would come out for. Farms and rural properties too far from any shop. Vehicles towed thirty miles for a repair that takes forty minutes in a driveway. So he put five trades on one truck and made the whole map his service area.

The rules of the business are short. Quote before work. Tell the truth about scope, including when a licensed plumber or electrician should be the one holding the tools. Treat the small job like it matters, because to the person who called, it does.

How I work

The Standing Rules

Price first

You approve a firm price before any work begins. Estimates from photos are free, and there is no dispatch fee buried in the invoice.

Scope honesty

Every state draws lines around plumbing, electrical and structural work. I stay inside them, say so plainly, and put a licensed plumber or electrician on the parts that need one.

Finish clean

The work area gets left cleaner than it was found, you get photos of the completed repair, and my workmanship gets stood behind if anything fails.

On paper

A Real Business,
Not A Guy With A Truck

Anyone can print a magnet and call themselves mobile. Here is what stands behind this one, and how to check it.

  • Registered business entity: Jamies Services, Jamie Pilantz sole member
  • Federal Employer Identification Number issued by the IRS, on file
  • Liability insurance in force
  • Based in Faribault, MN. Mobile across four states
  • Trading as Pilantz Mobile Services, the name on the truck and the invoice
  • Need the paperwork? Ask. W-9, EIN and certificate of insurance go out the same day

Property managers, farms and fleet accounts usually need a W-9 and a certificate of insurance before the first job. Say so when you call and it is handled before the truck rolls.

Straight answers

About The Business

Is Pilantz Mobile Services insured?

Yes, liability insurance is in force. A certificate of insurance, a W-9 and the federal EIN are available on request, which is what commercial and property management accounts usually need before the first visit.

Do you subcontract work out?

Handyman, welding, fabrication and automotive work is mine start to finish. Plumbing and electrical work that requires a license is done by licensed plumbers and electricians I work with, because that is what the law requires and what you should want anyway. Either way you deal with me, and you know before work starts who is doing what.

Do you serve businesses and property managers?

Yes. Small fleets, rental turnovers, farm operations and shop facilities are a natural fit for a five trade truck. Recurring route visits can be scheduled.

One call handles it

Send The List.
I Bring The Truck.

Every household has the list. The drip, the dead outlet, the cracked hitch, the car that hesitates. One visit, five trades, and the list gets shorter fast.

The Pilantz Guarantee

You approve the price before work starts. If a repair I made fails on my workmanship, I come back and make it right. No fine print, just a handshake that holds.
