For active leaks, shut off the water at the fixture or the main first, then call me. If I am routed near you I will prioritize the stop, and I will walk you through temporary containment over the phone either way.
Is small plumbing work really worth a service call?
Yes. A single running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons a week. I batch small jobs together, so one visit can knock out the faucet, the valve and the drain in an afternoon.
What plumbing work will you not do?
Anything your state reserves for licensed plumbing contractors, including gas lines, sewer mains and permit work. I stay inside handyman scope myself, and a licensed plumber handles the rest as part of the same job.
What should I have ready before you arrive?
Clear access to the fixture, and know where your main shutoff is. That is all. If you already bought parts, set them out. A photo sent ahead means the right parts ride out on the truck the first time instead of costing a second trip.
How does the trip charge work on a plumbing call?
It is based on distance and quoted together with the repair, before work starts. Nothing gets added afterward. Catching a route pass already scheduled through your county costs less than asking for a dedicated drive.
Can several small plumbing jobs be handled in one visit?
